The Korabelnyi District Court of Mykolaiv canceled a fine of 17 thousand hryvnias imposed by the territorial recruitment center on a father of many children for allegedly violating the rules of military registration.

This refers to the decision of February 10, 2026 in case No. 488/4362/25. The judge concluded that the decision to bring the man to administrative responsibility was made without proper evidence.

According to the case file, the man was fined for allegedly failing to appear at the TCC when summoned. However, the court found that he did not actually receive the summons - the letter was returned to the sender with a note about the expiration of the storage period. At the same time, there was no evidence in the case file that he had been notified by phone or in any other way.

The court also took into account that the man is a father of many children and a widower raising two minor children on his own. This gives him the legal right to a deferral from mobilization.

In addition, it turned out that he had previously regularly appeared at the territorial recruitment center, submitted documents for a deferment and underwent an update of his military registration data.

As a result, the court found that there was no administrative offense, canceled the fine and closed the case.

The court also ruled to collect a court fee of UAH 1 ,211 from the state body in favor of the plaintiff.

Earlier, Intent wrote that Mykolaiv region ranked second in terms of fines for military registration.

The number of unpaid fines for violations of military registration in Ukraine is growing, and more than 9,000 proceedings have been opened since the beginning of the year. Mykolaiv region ranked second among the southern regions in terms of fines.

Earlier, a Mykolaiv court handed down a two-year probation to the administrator of a Telegram channel that disclosed the routes of movement of employees of the territorial center for recruitment and social support. The man, who had more than 380 subscribers, was obstructing the mobilization.
