Mykolaiv will temporarily suspend the operation of purified water distribution points at the Mykolaivlectrotrans utility company.

According to the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council, on Wednesday, March 12, water will not be distributed by tram and trolleybus, as well as at the stationary well at 17 Yevhen Yeshchenko/Andreyeva-Palahniuk Street.

The restrictions are related to the scheduled maintenance of the equipment.

In addition, during the day, the company's employees will sanitize all the tanks for purified water to ensure its quality and safety for residents.

The city council is reminded that this procedure takes place every second Thursday of the month. Therefore, the following are the scheduled dates for the maintenance of water distribution points:

Citizens are urged to take this information into account and stock up on water in advance.

As previously reported by Intent, a tender for a new stage of water supply system construction has been announced in Mykolaiv.

The Service for Infrastructure Restoration and Development in Dnipro Oblast has announced a new tender for the design and construction of a water intake facility from the Pivdennyi Buh River in Nova Odesa and a main water supply pipeline to supply water to Mykolaiv.

This third section of the large-scale water supply project is necessary to eliminate the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP. The contract worth more than UAH 916 million was signed on November 27 with Avtostrada Group of Companies with a deadline of April 24.

It is worth noting that Avtostrada Group of Companies has repeatedly been involved in high-profile criminal proceedings related to public contracts. In particular, law enforcement officers are investigating the possible misappropriation of budget funds during the construction of another main water pipeline, Khortytsia, which the company received without open bidding. According to the investigation, the company may have overstated the amounts in the primary documents for the purchase of materials, including sand.

The company also received a €4 million grant to reconstruct the water supply system in Pervomaisk. The project will provide the city with a stable water supply and support the restoration of Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

Nefco has received a grant from Impact Fund Denmark to reconstruct the main water supply system in Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region. The project is part of Nefco's Green Recovery Program for Ukraine, which aims to restore critical infrastructure and increase the region's resilience.
