Mykolaiv City Council plans to spend almost 9 million to repair the shelter

The Executive Committee of Mykolaiv City Council is looking for a contractor to repair the basement to make a simple shelter.

The executive committee published the announcement on the public procurement website Prozorro.

Proposals can be submitted until June 20. On the same day, an auction will be held in the format of open bidding with special features.

The contractor has to dismantle the old windows and doors and install new ones. The contractor will clean and paint the walls and ceiling, upgrade plumbing, electricity and other communications. All work must be done in accordance with state construction standards. Payment for the work will be made after acceptance by the customer, within 10 calendar days.

The works are to be completed by December 19, 2025. The estimated cost of the works is UAH 8.7 million. The works will be financed from the local budget.

Earlier, the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of Oleksandrivka Village Council announced an open tender for the construction of a new radiation protection shelter at the Oleksandrivka Taras Shevchenko Lyceum located in Oleksandrivka village, Voznesensk district, Mykolaiv region. The expected cost of the work is UAH 44.6 million, including VAT.

Mykolaiv also announced a tender for the overhaul of two gyms on the ground floor of the Zorya sports complex. The project envisages a full range of works: dismantling, construction and finishing works, renovation of water supply, sewerage, ventilation, heating and electric lighting systems, as well as gym equipment. The expected cost of the works was over UAH 16.5 million.

Recently, journalists from Nashi Groshi investigated an agreement between the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Vyhodiansk Village Council in Odesa Oblast andDavmir Stroy to build a shelter for UAH 97.4 million and claimed that there was a possible large-scale overpricing of the construction.
