In Mykolaiv, a court has taken into custody a 61-year-old woman suspected of passing information about Ukrainian military facilities to representatives of the Russian Federation. She sent the coordinates and addresses of the Armed Forces units and repair shops for military equipment.

This was reported by the press service of the Central Court of Mykolaiv.

The judge imposed a pre-trial restraint on a 61-year-old woman suspected of transmitting information that could harm the national security of Ukraine to representatives of the aggressor state.

According to the court's press service, the suspect started a correspondence with the administrator of a Telegram channel that collected and transmitted data to Russia. The purpose of her contacts was to transmit information about the location of Ukrainian military units and facilities related to the defense of the city.

According to the investigation, the woman sent her interlocutor the exact geographical coordinates and addresses of the objects. Among the transmitted data were the locations of the Armed Forces units, repair shops for military equipment, and even a departmental medical facility.

In court, the suspect explained that she used both Ukrainian and Russian telegram channels to "navigate the events" and claimed that she had no intention of causing harm, but was only following the news.

The prosecutor's office requested a pre-trial detention without bail. The suspect's defense counsel did not object, but asked to determine the amount of bail.

The investigating judge, having heard the parties and studied the materials of the motion, decided to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention without setting bail. The court emphasized that this decision was justified by the risk of continuing criminal activity and the possibility of the suspect hiding.

In June, counterintelligence exposed two Russian informants who were passing information about Ukrainian combat aircraft in Kyiv and Mykolaiv regions to the enemy. One of them is a mobilized serviceman from Mykolaiv region, the other is a resident of Kyiv region who agreed to cooperate with the FSB for the promise of a monetary reward.
