In Mykolaiv, they decided to restore a building damaged by shelling to create safe conditions for residents. The project was estimated at more than UAH 16 million.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Dream ecosystem.

It is planned to restore an apartment building at 67 Yantarna Street. The building was severely damaged by rocket attacks, which caused it to lose its operational suitability. The goal of the project is to restore the integrity of the facility and create safe conditions for residents to return to their homes.

According to the findings of the technical inspection, the shelling damaged the load-bearing wall panels in a number of apartments, as well as the ceilings of loggias and structural components. The building needs comprehensive repairs, including reinforcement of structures and restoration of utilities.

The project is part of the Unified Project Portfolio (UPP) and is included in the community and regional portfolio. The responsible balance sheet holder is the Yantarna 67 condominium, and the key partner is the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The project requires funding, and its total budget is estimated at UAH 16.8 million. Of these, UAH 2.8 million is allocated for design, and UAH 14 million for direct construction.

In addition to returning residents to their homes, its implementation will help restore the city's housing stock and develop the local economy by attracting contractors and creating new jobs.

Mykolaiv has also begun restoring the Mykolaiv Regional Mental Health Center, which was destroyed by shelling. More than UAH 328 million is to be raised for the project.

In addition, it is planned to build a modern asphalt plant, which will be part of the city's sustainable development strategy. This plant includes a line for processing construction waste from the shelling, and the total project budget is UAH 310 million, of which 180 million is provided by Japan.
