The benefactors handed over electric bicycles to the doctors of the Vesnianska community. Soon, five other communities in Mykolaiv Oblast will receive such vehicles.
This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.
The first batch of electric bicycles received from benefactors was handed over to the Vesnianska community. Paramedics from one of the communities in Mykolaiv Oblast received 7 modern electric bicycles. In the future, it is planned to deliver 15 more bicycles to five other communities in the region.
Thanks to the new transport, the time spent on the way to patients will be significantly reduced - by three times. These bicycles were donated by RATEG as part of a memorandum with the Mykolaiv Regional Council.
According to Anton Tabunshchyk, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, the Velo-Force project is not only a support for healthcare workers, but also an important step in strengthening the region's communities.
In addition, he emphasized the possibility of cooperation between local rural health posts and health centers and PCVO Pharmacy, so that local residents could receive medicines under the state program "Affordable Medicines".
Recently, Mykolaiv doctors received new equipment from the World Health Organization. These devices can measure the content of radionuclides in the human body, in agricultural and food products, in drinking water, medicinal raw materials, wood, building materials and other environmental objects.
Currently, almost all medical facilities in Mykolaiv Oblast are equipped with generators, and several have solar panels. All hospitals are equipped with generators and provided with fuel, as this was a condition of the contract with the NHSU. In addition, solar panels have already been installed in five medical facilities, and work is underway in two more.
In early July, another mobile pharmacy started operating in Mykolaiv Oblast, following a new route. Currently, two such pharmacies serve 24 settlements in the de-occupied territories of the region.
