Khersonteploenergo, a municipal utility company, has received modern equipment that will help significantly reduce electricity costs.

According to the press service of Kherson MVA, in early 2025, Schneider Electric Ukraine handed over 43 cabinets with frequency converters and options for smooth motor start-up to Kherson heat and power engineers. This became possible thanks to funding from American donors Tetra Tech ES, Inc. as part of the Energy Security Project.

The administration noted that the new equipment is especially important for the company's operation during the heating season, as it will reduce energy consumption of pumps by up to 50%, improve environmental friendliness and improve the quality of heat supply for Kherson residents.

Recently, the Kherson City Military Administration decided to check and replace commercial meters in apartment buildings that were flooded after the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station was blown up.

According to the order, Khersonteploenergo is to inspect the meters in these buildings by February 1, 2025. If they are found to be defective, they will be replaced at the expense of the city budget by April 15, 2025. Local authorities were instructed to provide access to the premises where the heat meters are installed for the company's specialists.

The list of buildings to be inspected has already been determined. The list includes 34 condominiums and residential buildings in the Korabel neighborhood.

Meanwhile, the Territorial Development Department of the Kherson Regional State Administration, together with the communities, has compiled a list of 27 facilities that have been affected by Russian attacks. UAH 23 million has been allocated to develop project documentation for their restoration. It is known that the regional budget will finance only 10% of the design costs, while the rest of the funds will be raised from local budgets.
