JSC Khersongaz continues to ensure stable natural gas distribution despite the constant shelling and difficult financial situation. However, the amount of debt for gas distribution services in the de-occupied territories of Kherson region has already exceeded UAH 238 million.

According to the press service of JSC Khersongaz, most consumers who do not pay for gas distribution still use it to heat their homes and cook. At the same time, the timely restoration of damaged networks directly depends on payment for services, as all repairs are financed exclusively by consumers.

Due to the daily shelling, gas pipelines suffer significant damage, and their repair requires resources - fuel, consumables, specialized equipment and the involvement of qualified specialists.

"Khersongaz urges consumers to start repaying their debts, as without this, prompt restoration of gas networks is impossible. At the same time, the company understands the difficult financial situation of the region's residents, so it offers to conclude debt restructuring agreements.

Earlier, Intent wrote that Kherson region will be involved in the Government's project to provide humanitarian gas to vulnerable people.

Meanwhile, in the Pervomaiskyi district of Mykolaiv region, the prosecutor's office found a violation of the contract for the purchase of natural gas for educational institutions. Thus, at the end of December 2020, the Department of Education, Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Myhiyivka Village Council and the gas supply company signed an agreement on the purchase of natural gas for 2021 for the needs of the community's educational institutions.

However, in the course of the transaction, the terms of the agreement were amended by entering into 10 additional agreements, which unreasonably increased the price of natural gas and reduced the volume of its supply.

The court also canceled eight agreements on the purchase of natural gas for schools in Voznesenskyi district of Mykolaiv region. The Bratske village council will be refunded more than UAH 200 thousand that was overpaid from the budget. In 2021, eight additional agreements were signed that unreasonably increased the price of gas and reduced its supply. This violation led to unjustified changes in the terms of the contract and an overpayment of more than UAH 200 thousand.
