Kherson Under Fire: Russian Attacks Damage Homes and Injure Civilians

On the night of February 19, air defense forces destroyed two enemy Shahed-131/136 drones over the territory of Kherson region.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

However, during the day, Russian troops struck at the region's settlements, attacking both civilian infrastructure and residential areas.

Antonivka, Beryslav, Burgunka, Vesele, Zelenivka, Zolota Balka, Ivanivka, Kachkarivka, Kizomys, Komyshany, Kozatske, Lvov, Mykolayivka, Mykilske, Novoberislav came under shelling and air strikes, Novotyanka, Olgivka, Poniativka, Pryozerne, Prydniprovske, Republican, Sadove, Sofiyivka, Stanislav, Sukhanove, Tokarivka, Tyahynka, Krasny Mayak, Shyroka Balka, Shlyakhove, and Kherson itself.

Three high-rise buildings, eight private houses, a warehouse, an outbuilding, a garage and several cars were damaged as a result of the enemy attacks.

Seven people were injured in the Russian shelling, including one child.

Over the past day, on February 17, Russian troops shelled 32 settlements in Kherson region.

Before that, the invaders attacked a civilian car with a drone in the Korabelny district of Kherson, injuring a 24-year-old man. He sustained explosive and craniocerebral injuries, concussion and a shrapnel wound to his arm.

In the first month of 2025, more than twelve thousand enemy shells "flew" to the Kherson region. January 2025 was a tragic month for Kherson, as the city lost 16 of its residents.

Meanwhile, local businessman Viktor Khodykin will be paying UAH 3 million to close windows and repair roofing after shelling at facilities owned by the city council.
