The court found in absentia a resident of the Kherson region, who headed the occupation labor department in Genichesk, guilty of collaboration. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

This is stated in the verdict of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Court.

According to the investigation, in October 2023, the woman became the head of the illegal Department of Labor and Social Protection in occupied Genichesk. She publicly supported the Russian occupation authorities, participated in propaganda activities and implemented projects aimed at strengthening Russian influence.

"Together with the leadership of the above-mentioned illegally created authority, she organizes visits of mobile social offices to the combat zone and took part in the implementation of the project "Old Age in Joy," the statement said.

According to the Center for Investigative Journalism, this is Lyudmyla Stryukova, who worked as the director of the Genichesk branch of the Social Insurance Fund before Russia's invasion of Ukraine. After the occupation, she began to cooperate with the enemy and gave interviews to Russian media outlets such as Kherson LIVE and Tavria.

The court sentenced her to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. She is also banned from holding public office for 15 years. The verdict was announced in absentia.

Recently, the court sentenced a resident of Chornobaivka who organized a base for Russian military equipment and helped resettle Russians during the occupation of Kherson region. The man was found guilty of aiding the aggressor state and sentenced to 10 years.

Olena Zavorikhina, the former head of the village of Volodymyrivka, who had sided with the Russians on her own, was also sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

A local resident will be tried for distributing Russian newspapers in Kherson. The case against her has been submitted to the court.
