Kherson Prosecutor's Office Files 124 Treason Cases, 40 Convicted

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office has brought 124 cases of treason and collaboration to court, including the director of a lyceum, heads of energy companies, gauleiters, and others.

According to the department, 131 criminal offenses of this category were recorded in the region in the first three months of 2025 alone.

Most of the crimes - 99 - concerned collaboration. Another 14 cases concerned aiding and abetting the aggressor state, and 16 cases involved treason. In addition, two cases of illegal dissemination of information on the movement of Ukrainian troops and weapons under martial law were recorded.

In total, 132 people were served suspicion notices during this period, including for crimes committed in previous years. Indictments against 124 people have already been submitted to court, and 40 have already been convicted.

The cases currently under consideration include:

The case of a resident of the Kakhovka district who agreed to head the so-called "VGA of the Hornostayevsky district" and cooperated with the occupiers, in particular by passing on information about the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was also brought to court.

In addition, three residents of the region were notified of suspicion in connection with the fact that they took up the positions of "heads" of the fake administrations of the Hornostayiv, Verkhnorohachytskyi and Kakhovskyi "municipal districts" and ensured the activities of the occupation authorities.

The prosecutor's office emphasized that all traitors and accomplices of the aggressor will be brought to justice.
