Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the Patrol Police Department in Kherson region was served a notice of suspicion of abuse of power and authority.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, in August 2024, at about 23:45, the suspect, as part of a patrol police response team, arrived at an apartment building in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. The police responded to a complaint about noise coming from one of the apartments. Upon entering the apartment, a conflict arose between the suspect and one of the men present in the apartment. Instead of resolving the incident, the patrol policeman began beating the man, dragged him into the stairwell, where he put him on his back, handcuffed him and stepped on his neck. The suspect then took the victim to the yard and struck him several more times.

Currently, the suspect is suspended from duty, the issue of choosing a measure of restraint is being decided. The policeman faces imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.

Earlier, under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a law enforcement officer from Kherson was served a notice of suspicion of violating traffic safety rules, which caused the victim's death. The suspected police officer failed to comply with the request to give way and allowed the cars to collide. The injured driver sustained numerous injuries, including comminuted fractures, and died as a result of significant blood loss and traumatic shock.

The Odesa Regional Patrol Police Department also denied the information about a traffic accident involving Artem Khylynichenko, deputy head of the regional patrol police department, who was allegedly driving while intoxicated.
