In Kherson, Kyrylo Stremousov, a former representative of the occupation administration who died, was found guilty of collaboration and aiding the aggressor state. Taking into account the previous verdict, he was finally sentenced to life imprisonment with confiscation of all property.

This is evidenced by the verdict of the Kherson City Court.

The court found that a native of Kherson, born in 1976, in April 2022 voluntarily accepted the position of the so-called deputy head of the occupation military-civilian administration of the region, responsible for domestic and foreign policy.

According to the case file, he performed managerial functions, supported the decisions of the occupation authorities and joined the Emergency Commission created by the invaders. In May-November 2022, he participated in its meetings, where, in particular, he voted to extend the detention of people held during the occupation of Kherson.

In addition to his administrative work, Stremousov was actively involved in propaganda: He distributed materials in support of the occupation, justified Russia's actions, and urged residents to support the occupation authorities.

He also joined the organization and information support of the illegal referendum in September 2022 on the accession of the Kherson region to Russia. He held meetings with residents of the occupied settlements and persuaded them to vote.

In particular, in August 2022, he spoke to residents of Hola Prystan, Hladkivka, and later Mykilske, Kozachy Lager and Nova Mayachka, where he promoted theses about the alleged inevitability of Russian occupation.

In addition, he was accused of publicly calling for changes to the borders of Ukraine and justifying the occupation through the media.

After examining the case file, including publications in the occupation media, expert opinions and testimony, the court found him guilty in absentia. Taking into account the previous verdict of the Malynovskyi Court of Odesa, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, a ban on holding office for 15 years and confiscation of all his property.

Two land plots with a total area of 0.3601 hectares, a residential building with a summer kitchen, swimming pool and other outbuildings, as well as his share in the authorized capital of Tavria News LLC in the amount of 47.2 thousand hryvnias will be confiscated from him.

After the capture of Kherson by Russian troops, Stremousov openly supported the occupiers and took a position in their administration. In November 2022, it became known that he died in a traffic accident.

The so-called "deputy governor of the Kherson region" Kirill Stremousov was sentenced to life imprisonment with confiscation of property for the first time in October 2023.
