The Kherson Oncology Dispensary has planned to build an oxygen station that will allow the institution to provide patients with medical oxygen autonomously. The project needs to raise UAH 7 million.

According to the DREAM digital recovery ecosystem, a modular oxygen station is planned to be built on the territory of the Kherson Regional Oncology Center in Antonivka.

It will allow the institution to produce medical oxygen on its own and fully meet the needs of patients without dependence on external suppliers.

According to the project initiators, the dispensary treats patients with severe cancer diagnoses who often need continuous oxygen supply. War conditions, complicated logistics, and frequent interruptions in the supply of bottled oxygen pose risks to the safety and lives of patients. The in-house station will allow the dispensary to operate autonomously, even in case of emergencies.

The project was included in the Unified Recovery Project Portfolio as one of strategic importance for the region. According to the description, the project should provide the Kherson Oncology Dispensary with full autonomy in the production of medical oxygen, which will allow the institution to respond effectively to emergencies and heavy workloads. However, funding still needs to be found for this, as no funds have yet been raised.

The Kherson Oncology Center also plans to renovate the premises to install a magnetic resonance imaging scanner. More than UAH 45 million is envisaged for the project, which is planned to be raised as part of the Kherson region's recovery program.

In addition, Kherson is preparing to renovate the basement of the regional clinical hospital to make it a safe haven for patients and doctors. Up to 200 patients who are brought to the hospital after the shelling are treated around the clock. The project has already been approved, but funding of over UAH 38 million has not yet been confirmed.
