On October 21, the Mykola Kulish Kherson Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater opened its own museum. The space was created to preserve the history of Kherson's artistic life, popularize culture, and emphasize the importance of the theater for the city.

This was written on the theater's Facebook page.

The 13-part exposition covers the period from the first performances in Kherson in 1830 to the theater's current activities in frontline conditions. The artifacts include photographs, awards, sketches of performances, and a memorial to the heroes who died at the front.

Among the exhibits are photographs, information sheets, artifacts, sketches of performances, awards, and a memorial to the heroes who died at the front.

As one of the visitors, Oleksandr Arefin, noted, historical justice has been restored thanks to these exhibits: "I realized that the history of the theater does not begin in 1936, but much earlier. Our theater has been operating for over 200 years."

The museum aims to preserve and popularize the rich artistic life of Kherson, emphasizing its cultural indestructibility.

The theater's general director, Oleksandr Kniga, emphasized that the museum's mission goes beyond the mere preservation of exhibits.

"For us, the main thing is to preserve history and artifacts. We want them to surround future generations of theatergoers and artists. After all, Russia is now trying to destroy this memory with a full-scale invasion," emphasized Knyga.

According to him, the museum is not just "a room filled with artifacts," but a testament to the fact that "great artists and directors worked in the Kulish Theater." Thus, the opening of the museum was an act of restoration of historical justice (which goes back more than 200 years) and cultural resistance in the face of constant threats.
