Kherson plans to provide one-time assistance to the families of civilians who died as a result of Russian aggression after February 24, 2022. The funds will be allocated from the regional budget in accordance with social protection programs.

This is evidenced by the order of the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

The Kherson Regional Military Administration has decided to provide one-time financial assistance to the families of civilians who died as a result of military operations during the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine after February 24, 2022. According to the decision, funds in the amount of UAH 30 thousand will be allocated to each family from the regional budget.

The basis for the allocation of assistance was the relevant protocols of the commission and social protection programs approved by orders of the regional military administration. The order establishes a clear procedure for using budget funds to support the affected families, and the regional administration is responsible for monitoring the implementation.

The list of recipients includes the families of 13 deceased civilians, each of whom will receive UAH 30,000 on the basis of documents submitted to the relevant authorities.

Earlier, it was decided to provide financial assistance to the families of the fallen defenders of Ukraine. The relevant decision was made by the commission, which allocated UAH 2.8 million for this purpose. The funds will be used to support the families of soldiers who died for Ukraine, as well as to help residents in need of medical treatment.

Meanwhile, Kherson Oblast is considering introducing cash and voucher assistance for residents of settlements where the situation allows. This idea was discussed during a meeting of representatives of the UN, international humanitarian organizations, and regional and city military administrations.

Mykolaiv residents were also promised financial assistance for medical treatment and in case of loss of life. Such support is usually provided once a year and can reach up to 10 subsistence minimums, depending on the circumstances.
