In Odesa region, a developer was forced to pay 3 million to the budget

The Dobroslav District Prosecutor's Office, while establishing the grounds for the lawsuit, found out that the customer of the construction of high-rise buildings in Kryzhanivka did not pay funds for the development of the village's infrastructure (equity participation).

According to the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, prosecutors filed two lawsuits in the interests of the Fontansky village council against the company.

The claims were for the recovery of almost UAH 3.5 million in equity participation from the local budget. During the proceedings, the company voluntarily paid UAH 2.1 million to the budget. Therefore, the case was closed in this part. In addition, the court satisfied the other part of the prosecutor's claim and recovered from the developer more than UAH 1.3 million in inflationary losses and interest for late payments.

Earlier, detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Odesa region completed a pre-trial investigation into tax evasion by a company engaged in the export of agricultural products. During the pre-trial investigation, the exporter reimbursed the state budget for the losses incurred in the amount of UAH 119 million. The criminal proceedings were sent to court with an indictment.

In May, following the intervention of the Prosecutor 's Office in Odesa, the developer paid more than UAH 2.5 million in equity to the city budget. In 2019-2022, the company was building a furniture store in Odesa. Although the construction was completed and the facility was ready for operation, the developer did not submit an application to the city council to calculate the share participation and did not enter into a relevant agreement.

The detectives of the Main Detective Unit of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine also served a notice of suspicion of tax evasion in a significant amount to the company's accountant. This resulted in the understatement of taxes paid by the construction company and a loss of over UAH 7 million to the state budget.
