A construction company that built a six-story building with 40 apartments in Sechenov Lane was forced to pay UAH 600,000 to the city budget.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

It is a mandatory contribution to the development of the city's infrastructure - equity participation. This contribution must be paid by all developers who started construction before 2021. The money is used to repair schools, kindergartens, street lighting, transportation, and other important community needs.

Since this company ignored the requirements of the law, the Prymorskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Odesa filed a lawsuit to protect the violated rights of the Odesa community. In June 2025, the court granted the claim and ordered the company to pay the debt. The money has already been paid to the budget.

Earlier, the court upheld the claim of the Khadzhybey District Prosecutor's Office of Odesa and forced the developer to pay more than UAH 2 million in debts to the budget. According to the prosecutors, in 2018-2021, the developer built the first phase of an apartment complex with underground parking lots, built-in public premises and a service station with a convenience store and administrative and household premises on Fontanska Road.

Before that, the Supreme Court of Ukraine sided with the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office in a dispute with a developer building a residential complex in the village of Lymanka in the Tairovska community. The Chornomorsk District Prosecutor 's Office found that from 2019 to 2024, i.e. for more than 5 years, the developer in Limanka was building facilities, but did not pay a single penny to the Tairova community budget.
