In Mykolaiv district, a 12-year-old schoolboy was systematically harassed by his classmates, while the school administration remained silent about it. The police drew up administrative reports against the mother of one of the offenders and the director of the school.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police in Mykolaiv region.

In Mykolaiv district, law enforcement officers are investigating a case of bullying of a 12-year-old seventh-grade student. Because of this, police drew up administrative reports against the mother of one of the children who insulted the classmate, as well as against the school principal, who did not inform the police about the fact of harassment.

Law enforcement officers were contacted on November 5 after it became known that the student had been systematically humiliated and insulted by his peers at school since September. The inspection was conducted by juvenile inspectors of the Mykolaiv District Police Department together with representatives of the regional police headquarters.

Bullying is the aggressive behavior of some children against others within a closed social group (for example, a class at school).

The law enforcement officers found that the school principal was aware of the conflicts between the children, but did not report it to the police, as required by law. As a result, an administrative report was drawn up against the school principal under Part 5 of Article 173-4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses -"Bullying (harassment) of a participant in the educational process."

The mother of the boy who participated in the humiliation was brought to justice under Part 3 of the same article for failing to fulfill her responsibilities for the upbringing of her son. All the materials were sent to the court for further consideration and determination of the punishment.

After the inspection, the police conducted preventive conversations with teachers, students and parents of the class. They emphasized the importance of timely response to violence at school and the responsibility of adults for the actions of children. Law enforcement officers also urged teachers and parents to monitor children's behavior more closely to prevent similar situations in the future.

Bullying is one of the most common problems in children's groups, especially in elementary and middle school. Psychological trauma caused by bullying can affect adult life. Children do not always tell even their families that they have been victims of bullies, but certain signs of behavior can alert attentive parents. Intent figured out what this phenomenon is and how to deal with it.
