In Mykolaiv, Parusny 7a, an apartment building co-owners' association, became the first in the city to implement a complete energy-efficient modernization of elevator equipment.

According to the Mykolaiv City Council, the building's elevators were upgraded, frequency converters were installed, and their service life was extended for another four years - until the next technical inspection in accordance with state standards.

The decision to modernize the elevators was the result of an analysis of electricity consumption after the installation of the solar power plant - in April, the savings amounted to about 70% of the building's total consumption. The elevators will now operate stably even during power outages thanks to solar energy.

The condominium has also achieved significant results:

An apartment building co-owners' association (ABO) is an organization created by the residents of an apartment building to manage their housing on their own. This means that people make their own decisions about the maintenance of the building, repairs, installation of meters, care of the adjacent territory and use of funds. A condominium is a legal entity and has the right to enter into contracts, open accounts, and attract funding, including from government programs.

Thus, residents are not dependent on housing offices or management companies, but control the quality of services and costs themselves. The condominium operates under a special law and charter adopted by its members.

Earlier, Intent wrote that in Mykolaiv, for the first time, a condominium received a grant for the overhaul of a residential building that was damaged by a missile attack by Russian troops.
