Law enforcers served a notice of suspicion to a resident of the temporarily occupied Crimea who headed the illegal administration of the occupiers in the village of Kozachi Lageri in Kherson region.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, in January 2023, the 60-year-old suspect voluntarily agreed to take the position of the so-called "head of the military-civilian administration" of the village of Kozachi Lageri, created by the Russian occupiers.

In this position, the man heads an illegal authority and coordinates work with representatives of other occupation administrations.

In addition, according to the investigation, he contributes to the implementation of the policy of the aggressor state in the temporarily occupied territory and ensures the forced passportization of the local population with Russian documents.

The man was served a notice of suspicion of collaboration in absentia (Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation in the case is carried out by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kherson region.

As Intent previously wrote, prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office sent indictments to court against two residents of the region on the fact of voluntary election to illegal authorities.

Both defendants are actively engaged in public activities aimed at creating a positive image of illegal authorities. They participate in sessions and make decisions in favor of the aggressor state.

Earlier, in Kherson region, two local residents who actively assisted the enemy in the information war were served suspicion notices in absentia. According to the investigation, a 55-year-old resident of Kherson and a 37-year-old resident of Beryslav voluntarily joined the organization 'Union of Mothers of Kherson Region' created by the occupiers in August 2022.

And Svitlana Nedbaylo, a former teacher of Ukrainian at the Velykolepetivka Lyceum in Kherson region, who called on teachers to go over to the enemy, was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
