Two Kherson pseudo-deputies are awaiting punishment

Prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent to court indictments against two residents of the region on the fact of voluntary election to illegal authorities.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, in July 2023, the defendants joined the United Russia party and nominated their candidacies to participate in the "elections" to illegal authorities. A 49-year-old woman was elected to the so-called "Council of Deputies of the Chaplynsk Municipal District of the first convocation" and a 47-year-old man to the "Council of Deputies of the City District of Nova Kakhovka of the first convocation".

After receiving the 'mandate', the woman was elected 'chairman of the standing committee on deputy activities and local self-government' and a member of the 'standing committee on life support and security'. The man was included in the "permanent commission on land and agriculture" and later became the "chairman of the commission on industry, urban development, infrastructure development and support for entrepreneurship.

Both defendants are actively involved in public activities aimed at creating a positive image of illegal authorities. They participate in sessions and make decisions in favor of the aggressor state.

Earlier, in Kherson region, two local residents who actively assisted the enemy in the information war were served with suspicion notices in absence. According to the investigation, a 55-year-old resident of Kherson and a 37-year-old resident of Beryslav voluntarily joined the organization 'Union of Mothers of Kherson Region' created by the occupiers in August 2022.

And Svitlana Nedbaylo, a former teacher of Ukrainian at the Velykolepetivka Lyceum in Kherson region, who called on teachers to go over to the enemy, was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
