The SBU detained two informants who were passing data on the flights of Ukrainian combat aircraft to the enemy. Both were served suspicion notices of treason and face up to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

This was reported by the SBU Communication Department.

SBU CI officers exposed two Russian informants who passed intelligence on Ukrainian combat aviation in Kyiv and Mykolaiv regions to the enemy. One of them is a mobilized serviceman from Mykolaiv region, the other is a resident of the capital region who agreed to cooperate with the FSB for the promise of a monetary reward.

The 34-year-old woman set up her own observation post on the balcony of her apartment, from which she recorded the number, direction and time of flights of Ukrainian military aircraft. She also traveled to the areas of shelling and passed on information about the consequences to the FSB.

At the same time, in the Mykolaiv region, the serviceman was secretly filming flights of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and then uploading the video to messengers, where these files could be obtained by Russian special services.

During the searches, the SBU seized the suspects' cell phones with evidence of activities in favor of the enemy. Both suspects were served a notice of suspicion under articles on high treason (Part 2 of Article 111) and unauthorized dissemination of information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Part 1 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code). They were taken into custody without the right to be released on bail.

The sanction of the articles provides for punishment from 5 years in prison to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Another enemy informant was exposed by the SBU in Mykolaiv region - he was passing data on the movement of Ukrainian military columns in the direction of Kherson region to the occupiers. The offender was trying to determine the number of vehicles, including heavy weapons, that were being moved by the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the roads of the region.

Russian special services planned to use this information to adjust air strikes in real time. The agent was a 44-year-old employee of a private company who was noticed due to his pro-Russian activity on Telegram. He obtained data on Ukrainian troops through personal observations and open sources.
