The State Bureau of Investigation has served suspicion notices to four former Ukrainian military officers who joined the aggressor's army after the annexation of Crimea. They face up to 15 years in prison for treason.

This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.

Four former servicemen from Crimea, who joined the aggressor's army after the annexation of the peninsula, were served with a notice of suspicion.

In 2014, after the seizure of military units on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, four soldiers refused to move to Mykolaiv region and swore allegiance to the occupying country.

One of them, originally from Odesa region, became a deputy platoon commander in the occupying forces, but was injured during the attack on Ukraine in 2022.

The former Ukrainian servicemen are suspected of treason under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of this article provides for a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

The Mykolaiv Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region is providing procedural guidance.

Also, a former Ukrainian security officer who defected to the side of the occupiers was charged with high treason. It is a sambo wrestler and former SBU officer Ihor Zadernovsky, who after 2014 became part of the FSB occupation unit in Crimea.

Also, the head of the illegal armed group "Feodosia Regiment of the International Union of Cossacks", who organized the activities of the detachment to protect pro-Russian rallies, seize administrative buildings, patrol and check documents in Feodosia, is suspected of facilitating the occupation of Crimea.

Recently, the Security Service of Ukraine neutralized another agent group of Russian special services in Mykolaiv, detaining four people who were adjusting missile and drone strikes on the city. The main targets of the enemy were reserve command posts and logistics warehouses that support the activities of the Defense Forces on the southern front.
