In the occupied part of the Kherson region, Russian soldiers committed a gang rape against a minor. Prosecutors have already identified a second Russian national involved in the crime.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, the crime took place on March 24, 2024, around 10:00 p.m. in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.
One of the Russian soldiers, along with an accomplice, forcibly put the girl into a car. They then drove her to the outskirts of a settlement, where they sexually assaulted her.
Afterward, according to prosecutors, one of the soldiers, along with another Russian serviceman, drove the victim to a house. There, they sexually assaulted her again.
Law enforcement officials have identified the two Russian servicemen believed to be involved in the crime.
On July 7, 2026, as part of the same criminal proceeding, another serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces was notified of his status as a suspect.
Earlier, a Ukrainian court handed down an in absentia sentence to a militant of the so-called “DNR” who, during the temporary occupation of the Kalynivska community, sexually assaulted a local resident. Although the perpetrator is currently in hiding, the law has clearly determined his fate—12 years in prison.
Meanwhile, in Odesa, a court found a man guilty of kidnapping and raping a woman on the premises of the Kherson pretrial detention center. The incident occurred on November 11, 2022, on the day the city was liberated from occupation.
