The State Bureau of Investigation has concluded its investigation into the disappearance of military rations in the Mykolaiv region

Officials from the State Bureau of Investigations have completed a pretrial investigation into the former warehouse manager of a logistics platoon at a military unit in the Mykolaiv region.

This was reported by the SBI’s press service.

Due to his failure to properly perform his official duties, food worth more than 3.5 million hryvnias went missing from the warehouse. The indictment has been sent to court.

The official failed to ensure the proper storage of food at the military unit’s warehouse. As a result, canned goods, vegetables, and dry rations intended for feeding service members—particularly during combat missions—went missing.

The total amount of damages caused to the state exceeds 3.5 million hryvnias. Currently, the servicemember is serving as a driver at another military unit. He is accused of negligent conduct in military service under martial law, which resulted in serious consequences. The penalty under this article provides for up to 8 years of imprisonment.

SGBofficialsnotifiedthe supply platoon sergeant of one of the military units in the Mykolaiv region of the charges against him. According to the investigation, due to his negligence, the military unit lost food supplies worth over 3.5 million hryvnias.

Previously, SBI officials had notified the warehouse chief of a supply platoonwithin a logistics companyat one of the military units in the Mykolaiv region of the charges against him. According to the investigation, military property worthover 1 million hryvniaswas lost due to his improper performance of official duties. The property in question belonged to the rocket and artillery, automotive, medical, and military equipment services.
