Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation have served a notice of suspicion to the head of a platoon of a logistics company of a military unit in Mykolaiv region.

According to the State Bureau of Investigation, the investigation revealed that military property worth more than UAH 1 million was lost due to his improper performance of official duties .

The SBI notes that the official failed to ensure proper accounting, storage, and control of material assets necessary for the performance of combat missions.

This includes property of the missile and artillery services, automotive, medical and military equipment services. Among the lost items are night vision devices, medical kits and other equipment necessary for military personnel at the front.

The head of the warehouse is accused of negligent attitude to military service under martial law, which caused significant damage to the state. The sanction of the article provides for up to eight years in prison.

Law enforcement is currently taking measures to compensate for the damage. The Mykolaiv Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region is providing procedural guidance in the case.
