Energoatom allocated 300 million for new construction for South Ukrainian NPP

Energoatom has announced a tender for the construction of an industrial building in Mykolaiv region. The work is to be completed by the end of June 2026, and the contractor will receive payment upon completion of the work.

This is evidenced by the data of the Prozorro procurement system.

Energoatom has announced an open tender with special conditions for the new construction of an industrial building (third stage) in the city of Pivdenoukrainsk, Mykolaiv region. The expected cost of the project is over UAH 312 million. Although not specified in the tender, it is likely to be for construction at the Pivdenoukrainska NPP.

The tender was announced on July 16, 2025. Participants can submit bids until July 31, and the auction is scheduled for August 1. The minimum price reduction step is about UAH 1.56 million, i.e. 0.5% of the expected purchase amount.

The contracting authority does not require a performance bond, but bidders must also provide a tender offer of more than UAH 1.56 million. The winner will receive payment upon completion of the work - within 180 calendar days from the date of signing the relevant acts.

According to the technical specifications, the construction should be completed by June 30, 2026. The subject of procurement is classified as Engineering and Construction Works.

Also, South Ukrainian NPP announced a tender for the reconstruction with the replacement of batteries worth UAH 8.1 million. The contractor must complete the work by December 15, 2025.

At the same time, the plant gave almost 25 million hryvnias more for the reconstruction of a backup pipeline through the Tashlyk reservoir without a tender to a company that was previously accused of misappropriating funds. The company in question is Yuzhenergobud, which has been in bankruptcy since 2007 but continues to receive billions of dollars in contracts from the company despite being involved in criminal proceedings. In 2022, the company became the subject of an investigation into the embezzlement of budget funds during repairs ordered by the same nuclear power plant.
