The South Ukrainian NPP has planned a reconstruction with the replacement of batteries. The work is to be completed by mid-December, and the auction is scheduled for July.

This is evidenced by the data of the public procurement system Prozorro.

The South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant branch has announced a tender for the reconstruction and replacement of batteries. The works are planned as part of the procurement with an expected cost of UAH 8.1 million. The minimum price reduction step is UAH 80 thousand.

Potential bidders can submit their proposals until July 8, 2025, and the auction itself is scheduled for July 9. The minimum price reduction step is 80 thousand hryvnias.

The winner must complete the works by December 15, 2025 in the city of Pivdenoukrainsk, Mykolaiv region. According to the documentation, the guarantee of the contract is a bank or insurance guarantee in the amount of 2% of the total cost. Upon completion of the work, the contractor will receive payment within 180 days.

The customer is Energoatom JSC.

Recently, a company associated with a deputy from Khmelnytsky region and a person involved in a case of embezzlement of budget funds became the only bidder in a tender for the South Ukrainian NPP for more than UAH 50 million. Despite the criminal proceedings and suspicions of cooperation with fictitious firms, this company has already received billions of dollars in contracts.

On the day of the tender, the Southern Office of the State Audit Service in Mykolaiv Oblast announced that it would start monitoring the procurement due to the violations. The auditors sent a request for explanations and documents, including commercial offers, calculations of the expected cost, design and estimate documentation, and justification of technical requirements.

Also, the South Ukrainian NPP plans to sign a contract for almost UAH 25 million without competition with the company that was previously accused of misappropriating budget funds. Despite the bankruptcy case and open criminal proceedings, this company has received contracts worth billions of hryvnias from the plant over the past two years.
