In Kherson, one of the city's streets was mined. It is about the installation of anti-personnel mines on Kostya Gordienko Street (formerly Lavrenova Street).
This was reported by the police of the Kherson region.
According to available information, explosive devices were found in the area of house number 29. Law enforcement officials warn that the area of mining may be larger than currently known.
Local residents are urged not to move in the area and to be as cautious as possible, as there is a risk of an explosion.
The police ask citizens not to approach suspicious objects and to report them immediately to the relevant services.
Petal mines are particularly insidious because their small size and shape make them almost invisible on the ground, especially in the fall when the streets are covered with fallen leaves. In addition, PFM-1C mines are equipped with a self-detonator and can detonate at any time without contact.
Earlier, Intent wrote how the Russian invaders actually blocked access to aid for residents of the left bank of the Kherson region. The Holoprystan and Oleshky communities are facing a critical shortage of medicines, food and basic necessities.
In addition, earlier a resident of Odesa region tried to save her relative from mobilization by fake mining of the military commissary. A woman called the police department No. 1 of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Police Department and reported that an explosion was being prepared in one of the territorial centers for recruitment and social support.
Police officers immediately arrived at the address indicated in the report and inspected the building and the surrounding area. No explosives were found. The citizen who provided the false report was identified by law enforcement officers the same day. The offender was a 50-year-old resident of the Tatarbunary territorial community. As investigators found out, the woman was trying to prevent her relative from being mobilized in this way.
