During the day, the enemy shelled dozens of settlements in the region, damaging residential buildings, a gas pipeline and communications. Two civilians were wounded.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Military District Administration.

Over the period from April 30 to May 1, dozens of settlements in the Kherson region came under enemy fire. Kherson, Beryslav, Stanislav, Bilozerka, Kizomys and Veletynske, etc. were under Russian attack. The occupying forces fired artillery, dropped bombs and attacked with drones.

The occupiers targeted residential areas and social infrastructure. As a result of the attacks, 5 high-rise buildings, 12 private houses, a gas pipeline, a cell tower and a private car were damaged.

On April 29-30, the Russian army did not stop attacking the Kherson region. More than 30 settlements suffered from enemy shelling. Schools, medical facilities, and outbuildings were targeted.

The attacks damaged 10 multi-storey buildings, 9 private houses, one outbuilding and a car. Six civilians were injured.

Earlier, on April 27 and 28, Russian forces continuously shelled Kherson and surrounding communities. At least 4 multi-storey buildings and 17 private houses were damaged, as well as a gas pipeline, several garages and outbuildings. Five people were injured.

Separately, on the morning of April 27, Russian aircraft struck Kherson itself. As a result, two high-rise buildings, a private house and a medical facility were damaged. One of the victims was an 82-year-old woman who was hospitalized with a mine-blast injury.

Against this backdrop, the tragedy in Kryvyi Rih was particularly resonant: in early April, Russia hit the city with missiles, killing 9 children. This is the most massive killing of Ukrainian children in a single attack since the start of the full-scale war in 2022. In response, Ukraine initiated an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council and the OSCE Permanent Council, calling on the international community to respond to Russia's latest war crimes.
