A new type of explosive device was discovered in Kherson.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration Yaroslav Shanko.

According to him, the mine may look like an ordinary object wrapped in a rag, which makes it particularly dangerous for civilians.

Experts are currently investigating the characteristics of the explosive device. It is known that it is electronically controlled and has a combined effect and can be used against both people and vehicles.

It is also not yet known whether the mine is equipped with a self-destruct function and how long it can take to detonate.

Residents are urged to be as cautious as possible: do not approach suspicious objects closer than 30 meters, do not touch them, and do not try to move them. In case of detection of such objects, rescuers or the police should be immediately notified by calling 101 or 102.

The city authorities emphasize that the enemy continues to use new types of mines and disguise them as ordinary things, which significantly increases the risk to civilians.

Earlier, Intent wrote that one of the city streets in Kherson was mined. It is about the installation of anti-personnel mines on Kostya Gordienko Street (formerly Lavrenova Street).

As a reminder, the Russian invaders have effectively blocked access to aid for residents of the left bank of Kherson region. The Holoprystan and Oleshky communities are facing a critical shortage of medicines, food and basic necessities.

In addition, earlier a resident of Odesa region tried to save her relative from mobilization by fake mining of the military commissary. A woman called the police department No. 1 of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Police Department and reported that an explosion was being prepared in one of the territorial recruitment and social support centers.
