Over the past day, Russian troops did not stop attacking the Kherson region. Thirty-nine settlements, including the regional center of Kherson, came under enemy fire. As a result of the shelling, 12 civilians were injured.

This was reported by the head of the regional military administration Oleksandr Prokudin on the morning of April 29.

The occupants were targeting residential areas and social infrastructure facilities. The strikes damaged three multi-storey buildings, nine private houses, an agricultural company, a gas pipeline, a garage and several cars.

The affected settlements include Antonovka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Vesele, Gavrilovka, Daryivka, Dniprovske, Dudchany, Zelenivka, Zmiyivka, Zolota Balka, Ingulets, Kizomys, Kozatske, Komyshany, Mykilske, Milove, Mykhaylivka, Molodizhne, and Neslumne, Novoberislav, Novooleksandrivka, Novoraysk, Novotyanka, Oleksandrivka, Olgivka, Osokorivka, Prydniprovske, Republican, Sadove, Stanislav, Sofiyivka, Tavriyske, Tomyna Balka, Tokarivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Shyroka Balka, Shlyakhove and Kherson.

"As a result of Russian aggression, 12 people were wounded," the head of the Kherson Military District said in a statement.

As Oleksandr Prokudin recently stated, the military of the aggressor country has changed the tactics of shelling settlements in Kherson region. First, the occupiers drop bombs, and then cover the same area with artillery, the official said. This means that the situation remains dangerous after the first arrival. That is why it is important not to leave the shelter immediately.

In addition, the head of the JMA said that the Russian military has significantly intensified shelling of the region over the past week.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Russian army has fired more than 2,500 times at the Kherson city territorial community. As a result of the attacks, more than 400 people were injured, including 39 children. More than 40 people, including four children, were killed.
