Farmers in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions have submitted 357 applications for state support. In total, agrarians submitted almost 1,500 applications across the country during the week.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Thus, farmers from Mykolaiv region submitted 229 applications, and from Kherson region - 128 applications.

During the first week of the state support program for agricultural producers provided for in the state budget, 1,416 agricultural producers registered their applications in the State Agrarian Register to receive funding per unit of cultivated land.

Applications were received from 1,237 farmers from the following regions in the areas of possible hostilities: Dnipropetrovska, Donetska, Mykolaivska, Khersonska, Kharkivska, Zaporizka, Chernihivska and Sumska oblasts. In addition, 179 applications were submitted from farmers in the areas of active hostilities and those where state electronic resources are available. No applications were received from Luhansk region.

The total amount of applications submitted exceeds UAH 923.6 million.

The State Agrarian Register started accepting applications for state support for agricultural producers from regions located in the areas of active hostilities on September 10, 2024.

Most of the work on demining agricultural land was carried out in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. In August, sappers surveyed 23.4 thousand hectares of frontline areas. Since the beginning of the year, sappers have surveyed and cleared more than 200,000 hectares of fertile land. Farmers have access to more than 20 thousand hectares of cleared land.

In August, agricultural producers received compensation for agricultural machinery and equipment made in Ukraine in the amount of UAH 61.6 million. The largest number of applications for compensation for purchased agricultural machinery and equipment were submitted in the following regions: Poltava - 69, Kirovohrad - 63, Mykolaiv - 54, Cherkasy, Dnipro, Odesa - 42 each.

The program, in addition to supporting farmers, is also a tool for the development of Ukrainian machine building, as it stimulates an increase in the number of domestic agricultural machinery manufacturers. Currently, 121 manufacturers are already participating in the program, and the number of products is more than 11 thousand.

The program for reimbursement of domestic machinery was launched in Mykolaiv region in June. The reimbursement is made in the amount of 25 percent of the total price through public funds. Currently, there are more than 6,000 items of agricultural machinery.
