Following the court's decision to release him, Crimean political prisoner Oleksandr Sizikov disappeared from the Bakhchisarai detention center. Only later it became known that he had been transferred to the Simferopol detention center.

This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity.

Blind Muslim Oleksandr Sizikov was transferred from the temporary detention center of Bakhchisarai to the Simferopol detention center, despite the decision of the Supreme Court of Crimea, controlled by the Russian Federation, to release him after 10 days of administrative arrest.

According to his mother, Oleksandr called and said that on October 31, he was taken to an ophthalmologist and a neurologist. The doctors admitted that he "could be in a pre-trial detention center" and took a copy of the disability certificate that he had previously provided to the police for the court.

On the night of October 22-23, security forces searched his house, seized two laptops and the phones of the entire family, and then detained him.

On October 24, the Bakhchisarai District Court sentenced him to 10 days of arrest. Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov appealed the decision, and on October 31, the Supreme Court of Crimea ruled to release his client due to his health condition.

However, after that, the lawyer did not find Sizikov in the Bakhchisarai detention center - he was informed that the man was sent to Simferopol. However, he was not found in the local detention center or in the special reception center for administrative detainees.

Recently, the Russian-controlled Supreme Court of Crimea canceled the administrative arrest of blind Oleksandr Sizikov, a defendant in the "Crimean Muslims case," and ordered his immediate release due to his health condition. However, lawyer Emil Kurbedinov was unable to take the political prisoner from the detention center - his whereabouts were unknown.

In May, a Russian court released Crimean political prisoner Oleksandr Sizikov, who has completely lost his eyesight and needs constant care. Earlier, he was sentenced to 17 years in prison in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case, despite his disability and lack of evidence.
