A radar station is a specialized device for detecting airborne, maritime, or ground-based objects using radio waves. It determines the exact distance to a target, as well as its speed and direction of movement. These systems operate by emitting radio signals and receiving the echoes reflected from the target. RCS are widely used in the military for air defense, as well as in civilian life—in navigation, meteorology, and air traffic control.

Strategic targets were also struck in Russia. In the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation, two fighter jets (a Su-33 and a MiG-29) and one “Orion” strike-and-reconnaissance UAV were destroyed. In addition, the Ukrainian military disabled the “Tor” and “Pantsir-S1” missile systems, an S-400 air defense system "Triumph" air defense system in Gelendzhik, and a whole series of radar stations that helped the enemy "see" our skies.
