<span><span><span><span><span><span>In the song, the artist conveys deep emotions stemming from her separation from her homeland. She shares childhood memories of Crimea and constantly returns to it in her thoughts. In the song, Zlata also emphasizes the importance of remembering one’s ancestors and the thirst for freedom, which helps overcome difficulties.</span></span></span></span></span></span>
<span><span><span><span><span><span>The artist created the track together with MAKO— </span></span></span></span></span></span>a young Ukrainian anonymous performer and songwriter who works at the intersection of rap, trap, and contemporary pop music.
<span><span><span><span><span><span>Zlata Ognevich (Inna Bordyug) is a popular Ukrainian singer and Honored Artist of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, who represented Ukraine at the “Eurovision 2013” Song Contest with the track “Gravity” and took an honorable third place. She is a former lead singer of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a winner and finalist of popular TV shows (“The Mask,” “The Bachelorette-2”). </span></span></span></span></span></span>
Previously, SUVOROVA released a new song titled “Crimea Remains.” The song is based on the artist’s childhood memories of Feodosia and feelings that belong to the past.
According to the singer, the song is dedicated tosomeone she can no longer write to or call.
