In 2022, the suspect voluntarily cooperated with the enemy. At that time, she held the position of senior state inspector of the Skadovsk State Tax Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, under the occupiers, the woman decided to build a career and became "the head of the tax inspection of the Skadovsk district of the Tax Service of the Kherson region."

"The suspect fulfilled the duties assigned to her by the occupation authorities, ensuring the functioning of the illegally created institution and contributing to the strengthening of the measures of temporary occupation of the region," the statement said.

Therefore, under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the former tax officer was served a notice of suspicion in absentia on the fact of high treason committed under martial law. The maximum sanction facing the suspect is life imprisonment.

Earlier, prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office sent to court indictments against nine residents of the region who, in June 2022, took up senior positions of various levels in the illegally created "Kherson Regional Tax Service" and its structural units in Kakhovka and Beryslav districts. Prosecutors' offices in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol also served a notice of suspicion on 41-year-old Serhiy Korolev, the pseudo-deputy minister of economic development of the Republic of Crimea. Before the occupation of the peninsula, the man worked as the chief state auditor-inspector of the department of control and verification of income and fees of individuals of the Main Department of the Ministry of Income in the AR of Crimea. In 2014, he went over to the enemy and began building a career in the occupation department of the Federal Tax Service in the Republic of Crimea. In addition, in January 2024, the former tax officer was appointed as the pseudo-deputy occupation minister of economic development of the Republic of Crimea, a position he holds to this day.
