On the afternoon of December 23, the Russian military attacked Kherson and the village of Kizomys in Kherson region using drones. The attacks resulted in casualties.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, at 13:15, the Russian occupiers attacked Kizomys with a UAV. A 65-year-old man was injured in the attack. He was diagnosed with an explosive injury, as well as shrapnel wounds to his back and leg. Medical workers provided him with the necessary assistance, and the man was then released for further outpatient treatment.

On the same day, at around 9:00 a.m., Russian troops attacked Kherson using a drone. As a result of the explosives dropped from the drone, a 59-year-old man sustained an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to his leg. The victim was taken to a hospital for medical care.

A local resident was killed in Beryslav as a result of a Russian drone attack. The occupiers dropped explosives from a UAV on a 55-year-old man. Unfortunately, he was fatally wounded.

Earlier, the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Roman Mrochko, warned that the Russian military was remotely scattering special "hedgehog" traps on the roads in Kherson. If a car hits a hedgehog, the wheel is damaged, and after stopping, an enemy drone with explosives arrives.

In general, the enemy does not stop shooting at Kherson region. On December 20, the Ukrainian Defense Forces thwarted the plans of the Russian occupiers to land sabotage and reconnaissance groups near Kherson in the right-bank part of Kherson region. On this day, Kherson suffered the largest shelling since 2022. The explosions did not stop from four in the morning. Russian troops fired from all types of weapons available to them, firing more than 1,000 shells. There is not a single area that has not been affected.
