From trading to building prisons for the occupiers - this is the path that a businessman from Genichesk has taken after exchanging his business for a Russian parliamentary mandate. Now he has been sentenced for financing the enemy and working in the occupation council.

This is evidenced by the verdict of the Kherson City Court.

According to the investigation, in September 2023, he received a mandate in the so-called "council of deputies" of the Genichesk municipal district, created by the occupation authorities. There he was included in the commission dealing with the budget, economy and investments, and later became the deputy chairman of this illegitimate body.

According to the case file, he participated in promoting the decisions and activities of the Russian-controlled administration in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, and spread messages aimed at undermining confidence in the Ukrainian authorities.

According to the Myrotvorets resource, this is Dmytro Bulochnik. The court sentenced him to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. In addition, the convict is banned from holding positions in local government and participating in the electoral process for the same period.

According to Youcontrol, back in 1995, he registered a private enterprise, Priboy, specializing in intermediary activities in the trade of wood, building materials and plumbing. Over the years, the company has made small deliveries to local institutions: in particular, in 2022, it provided the emergency diving service of the Henichesk City Council with aerated concrete, and a year earlier, it supplied a net for the interdistrict water management department.

The Prosecutor General's Office also suspects that in 2023, Bulochnik illegally registered his private enterprise, the Priboy Trading and Industrial Firm, in Russian jurisdiction. And in May 2023, he signed a contract for the supply of construction materials worth almost 257 thousand rubles to the occupation penitentiary institution, the Kherson Oblast Penitentiary Service.

In April, a deputy of the Genichesk City Council also found himself in the dock for cooperating with the occupation authorities of the Russian Federation. The case concerned the repair and maintenance of cars for the occupation authorities.
