An enemy drone attacked Serhiy Ivashchenko, the head of Antonivka starosta district. He suffered shrapnel wounds to his legs.

According to Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, this is not the first time that the head of one of the most dangerous districts of the frontline community of Kherson has suffered from attacks by Russian terrorists.

"He has already suffered from acupuncture injuries. But, despite all the difficulties, he works every day for the sake of people who have not left Antonivka - despite the incessant shelling and lack of basic living conditions," added the head of the MBA.

According to Mrochko, Antonivka starosta's mood is positive. He is determined to continue working. He plans to bring life back to the almost destroyed village. The starosta does not consider himself a victim.

"A victim is doomed to lose. And we are doomed to win. It's hard, but I'm not ashamed of my work," summarizes Antonivka's starosta Serhiy Ivashchenko.

Recently, Svitlana Kharchenko, a nurse at the Kherson Polyclinic, was killed in a Russian drone attack near Antonivka Bridge. The woman devoted her entire life to helping people. On January 16, 2025, Svitlana left the hospital to return home, but was attacked by a Russian drone on the way. An eyewitness said that the woman was seriously injured and, despite trying to hold on, died on the spot. Her body was found the next morning near the bridge.
