A new fire protection unit has been launched in Kherson region

Another local fire department has started working in Kherson region.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region.

The report notes that representatives of the unit, located in the Beryslav district, have undergone special training and will now assist SES units in eliminating fires and emergencies.

"The creation of this unit will allow us to respond quickly to fires and other emergencies in the community," said Andriy Masharo, head of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kherson Oblast.

The press service also added that the initiative was made possible through the joint efforts of the Kherson Regional and Beryslav District Military Administrations, as well as the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kherson Oblast.

Earlier it was reported that another local fire department was launched in the Chornobaiv community. Olha Maliarchuk, Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, took part in the opening of the new unit.

"This is a significant step in strengthening the safety of another settlement. This is a team of professionals who will support the local population. I sincerely thank everyone who was involved in the creation of this team, who provided the necessary equipment and conditions for their work," the official emphasized.

Another 15th anniversary unit of the local fire brigade was also opened in Kherson region. On December 27, 2023, a local fire department was launched in the Novovorontsov territorial community. From now on, firefighters of the local fire department will be engaged to help firefighters and rescuers to eliminate fires in the area of responsibility. They will be on duty on a daily basis.

It was also said that on July 13, 2023, another volunteer unit was opened in the Beryslav district of Kherson region to provide assistance to all those in need. The volunteers equipped a fire truck with firefighting equipment received from the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kherson Oblast and began to protect the safety of citizens.
