Kherson police evacuated a mother with two young children who needed medical care from Novooleksandrivka, which was shelled by the Russian military.

According to the Kherson regional police, after several months of occupation and subsequent liberation, the settlement is under constant fire from the Russian army.

"Until the last moment, a family with small children stayed there, who did not want to evacuate to a safer place. But when a 5-year-old boy and his 3-year-old sister needed a doctor's consultation, the mother decided to leave," the statement said.

According to Taras Oleksyuk, a member of the evacuation team, an officer of the Beryslav district police department , they were approached by the head of the children's service of the Novooleksandrivka village council and informed that the family with two children needed help in evacuating and taking them to the hospital.

"The police quickly evacuated the family from the dangerous settlement in an armored car. After examination, doctors hospitalized the children in a medical facility. In the future, they will be under medical supervision. The woman assured the police that after the recovery of her son and daughter, she and her husband would consider moving to safer areas," the police said.

Earlier, during the evacuation of wounded civilians from Antonivka , patrol police officers in a police car hit an anti-personnel mine. A 32-year-old patrol policeman was injured. Before that, volunteers and representatives of the Kherson City Military Administration evacuated 47 people from Antonivka and other hotspots of the community. One of the volunteers was injured as a result of an explosive drop from an enemy drone. According to Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson MBA, volunteers and MBA staff involved in the evacuation of people from under fire risk their own lives and lose their health to get those who ignored calls to evacuate until the last minute.

"Every day, according to the official, it is becoming more difficult to find volunteers for evacuation teams working in extremely dangerous conditions. After all, each flight may be the last," added Mrochko.

However, despite the danger and shelling, the evacuation of civilians in Kherson region continues.
