In the Tyahyn community, 40 greenhouses were installed for IDPs. This will allow people who were forced to leave their homes to restore self-sufficiency in food and possibly get a source of income.

This was reported by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, reviewed the results of this project to support agrarian self-employment in the Tyahyn community, confirming the importance of the initiative.

Each of the 40 greenhouses provided to internally displaced persons has an area of 100 square meters and is fully equipped with an irrigation system. In addition, the benefactors provided the IDPs with the necessary seeds and fertilizers so that they could immediately start their own business and ensure their food independence.

This project was implemented with the support of the local authorities, the Kherson Regional Development Agency, and, to answer the previous question, the Ranok Vidrodzhennia charitable foundation. Oleksandr Prokudin emphasized that the success of the initiative is planned to be scaled up to create an agricultural service cooperative. This step is intended to open up new opportunities for sustainable development of the community and the agricultural sector of the region as a whole.

Earlier, in Mykolaiv region, a farmer created a unique "smart greenhouse". This greenhouse automatically regulates watering, lighting, and heating using IoT sensors, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

According to farmer Maksym Netudykhata, the idea of automation came about after he lost part of his crops due to lack of watering during a business trip. This was the impetus for creating an innovative greenhouse.

The project was implemented with the support of the Blue Innovation Challenge, where the farmer received a grant of USD 10 thousand. He also invested UAH 500 thousand in a new greenhouse complex.

All processes in the greenhouse can be controlled via a mobile application. The AquaSmart system allows you to regulate soil moisture, air temperature , and light levels in the greenhouse, which significantly saves resources and increases yields.

Currently, radishes are grown in the smart greenhouse, and cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, and eggplants are grown in other greenhouses.
