Three hundred million and economic development: Mykolaiv region agrarians led in lending

In 2025, Mykolaiv region ranked first in terms of lending to agricultural enterprises. In total, 14 enterprises received assistance for more than three hundred million.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Since the beginning of the year, 431 agricultural enterprises have received more than 2 billion hryvnias in bank loans for development. Of this amount, UAH 724.6 million was financed under the state program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9", which covered 244 enterprises.

Mykolaiv region is among the leaders in financing under various loan programs.

The largest amount of funds under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9 program was received by farms from the following regions: 19 enterprises from Vinnytsia region - UAH 81.7 million; 25 enterprises from Kyiv region - UAH 69.5 million; 12 enterprises from Odesa region - UAH 66.4 million; 13 enterprises from Kharkiv region - UAH 65.3 million; 26 enterprises from Kirovohrad region - UAH 61.5 million; 10 enterprises from Mykolaiv region - UAH 40.7 million; 16 enterprises from Chernihiv region - UAH 37.7 million; 14 enterprises from Poltava region - UAH 34.5 million.

Last year, 13,088 agricultural enterprises received almost UAH 104.5 billion in bank loans. Of this amount, UAH 46.9 billion was provided under the "Affordable Loans 5-7-9" program, which was used by 8,750 farms.

This program, which is supported by the World Bank under the ARISE initiative, was created to facilitate access to bank financing for micro and small enterprises. It allows farmers to obtain loans of up to UAH 90 million at preferential interest rates (5-9% per annum).

The program aims to support the recovery of Ukraine's agricultural sector, promote economic growth and development of micro and small businesses in the face of wartime challenges.

In 2024, the agricultural sector of Mykolaiv region received state support in the amount of UAH 459 million. This figure is more than eight times higher than the funding received in 2023, which amounted to UAH 55 million.

In 2025, Mykolaiv region plans to raise about UAH 560 million for agricultural development. Funding will be provided both from the state budget and with the support of international partners.

The agricultural sector of the region has also received more than 207 thousand hectares of land for business activities. At the same time, both crop and livestock enterprises are actively restoring their operations, contributing to the strengthening of the local economy.
