150 People Join Mykolaiv Rally to Support Ukrainian POWs and

On Saturday, April 26, Mykolaiv once again hosted a rally to remind of Ukrainian soldiers held in Russian captivity and those who went missing.

This time, about 150 people joined the rally, according to Suspilne correspondents.

They were holding flags, banners and portraits of their relatives and friends.

The participants also shared their stories and told why it was important for them to attend the events. Among them was Tetiana, who has not been in touch with her fiancé for more than two years. He was captured during a breakout from the territory of the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol. The woman receives information about his health condition from the released prisoners, but there are no exact details about his well-being.

Another participant of the event is Yulia, an IDP from Donetsk region who now lives in Mykolaiv. She is waiting for news about her husband, with whom she lost contact in February 2025. The last time he called was before a dangerous operation, after which Yulia received disturbing messages from her colleagues, but there is still no official information. Despite the uncertainty, the woman does not lose hope.

The rally was also attended by Svitlana, who has not heard from her husband since February 2023. According to her, the last time he got in touch was on February 19, and at the end of the month the family was informed of his disappearance. Svitlana and her family continue to believe in his return, as they have four grandchildren waiting for him.

Earlier, a car rally and a peaceful rally in support of Ukrainian prisoners of war and missing persons were held in the Voznesensk community. A convoy of cars with blue and yellow flags and posters with portraits of the defenders drove through the city, drawing attention to their fate.
