Volunteer medics provide assistance to almost 700 residents of Kherson region

American medical volunteers visited Kherson region to help local residents.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

The post says that the medical team of the American volunteer organization Global Care Force received residents of the Kalynivka community. Over the course of two days, the doctors visited Kalynivske, Kokhanivka, Blahodativka, and Bobrovyi Kut, where they examined more than 90 patients. In addition to the examination, people were provided with the necessary medicines as prescribed free of charge.

The mobile team of volunteer doctors also continues to work in Beryslav region. Last week, the team visited Blahodativka, Bobrovyi Kut, Kalynivske, Novopoltavka, Tokareve, Davydivyi Brid and Bruskinske. Local residents could consult a family doctor, neurologist, ophthalmologist, endocrinologist and cardiologist. The specialists provided free electrocardiography, ultrasound of internal organs and other laboratory tests. Patients were provided with medicines and glasses as prescribed by doctors. In total, the specialists helped more than 580 residents.

The Kherson Mobile Clinics project is implemented by the Fortitude UA charitable foundation in partnership with the International Rescue Committee and with the support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund.

Earlier it was reported that in Kherson region, volunteer dentists treated 195 residents of the Kalynivka community. Thus, at the initiative of the Kalynivka UIA and the local outpatient clinic, volunteers from the Dental Hope mission visited the community. This project is aimed at helping people who cannot afford quality dental treatment.

It was also mentioned that at the end of September , mobile teams of doctors visited a number of settlements in the Kherson region, including Myroliubivka, Vysoke, Chornobaivka, Posad Pokrovske, and Kherson. An ophthalmologist, an otolaryngologist, a neurologist and an endocrinologist saw patients. In total, the doctors helped more than 250 residents of Kherson Oblast.
