Voloshyn: Kherson will not be stormed, there are no enemy subversive groups nearby

The spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn denied the information spread on social media about the alleged landing of enemy subversive reconnaissance groups in Kherson.

Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.

"The bridge that connects the mainland of the city and the Korabel neighborhood was damaged by Russians, so this is logistics that is important for the civilian population. It is not important for the defense of the city.

"This strike on civilian infrastructure is a typical outright terrorist act of the enemy against the civilian population. There are no military facilities nearby, this is just a strike to prevent everything that ensures the life of the neighborhood from functioning normally," Voloshyn noted.

The situation in the Kherson sector is difficult. Up to ten enemy attacks are registered every day, but they are all concentrated on the islands of Kozulisky, Zabych, Nestryga, Bilohrudy, Velyky Vilkhovy and other parts of the delta. Control of these territories would open the way for the invaders to cross the Dnipro and attempt to land on the right bank.

However, intelligence does not see enough enemy forces to launch a large-scale offensive or capture Kherson. The occupiers continue to attack the city with drones, aircraft and adjusted bombs, destroying social and municipal facilities.

In the Kherson region, two people were killed and seven wounded in Russian attacks over the past day.

Dniprovsky district of Kherson was under attack. Two women, aged 71 and 34, who were at home at the time of the shelling, were injured . They went to the hospital, where they were diagnosed with explosive injuries and shrapnel wounds.

In the Kherson community, the evacuation concerns the villages of Inzhenerne, Komyshanske, Sadivske and Antonivske starostas (in particular, Vostochnykh streets - from 1 to 34), as well as Andriy Orlov, Grecheska, Soborna, Perekopska streets (all streets and lanes down to the Dnipro), Korabel, Yantarny-1 and Yantarny-2 neighborhoods.
