A vocational school in Beryslav district, Kherson region, has been returned land worth UAH 6.2 million after it was illegally used.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, after a trial, the agreement between the school and a private enterprise was invalidated and terminated.

The investigation found that in August 2024, the school and the company entered into a joint venture agreement that provided for the use of land for industrial training and practice. However, in fact, this agreement concealed the transfer of land for lease, which is contrary to the law.

As a result, the company used the 240-hectare territory worth UAH 6.2 million for its own purposes, unrelated to the educational process.

In view of these facts, the prosecutor's office appealed to the court, which ruled in favor of the state educational institution.

Earlier, the court terminated the lease agreement and ordered the private enterprise to return 234 hectares of land to the state, as well as hydraulic structures of a fishery reservoir on Lake Solonets in Kherson region.

Prior to that, prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office defended in court the state's right to forest land plots with a total area of over 42 hectares.

Also, with the intervention of the prosecutor's office, 80 hectares of land worth almost UAH 2 million were returned to the Kherson community. One of the companies leased the land for production activities related to landscaping in Kherson and the region. However, contrary to the current legislation and the terms of the lease, the lessee did not pay the rent during 2022-2024, owing money to the local budget.
