Employees of the Beryslav district police department evacuated a wounded woman and a sick man from Beryslav under fire.
According to the Kherson regional police, they learned about a 61-year-old local resident who was suspected of having inflamed appendix. He urgently needed medical attention. The police took the patient to a medical facility as soon as possible and handed him over to doctors.
A few hours later, Russian troops shelled the city with artillery. An 83-year-old woman was hit in the street. She received a shrapnel wound to her leg and lost a lot of blood. Police officers went to the shelling zone, provided first aid to the victim, took her out of the city and handed her over to an emergency medical team.
Beryslav is a city in the Kherson region that is under constant shelling by the Russian army. The occupiers are destroying it every day, striking residential areas with all possible weapons.
Kherson police are urging citizens to evacuate from coastal settlements that are suffering from daily Russian attacks.
"Evacuation teams are continuing to provide assistance to everyone who needs it. If you decide to leave the dangerous areas, please contact the territorial police departments, call 102, local authorities or volunteer organizations," the statement reads.
Recently, while evacuating wounded civilians from Antonivka , patrol police officers in their official car hit an anti-personnel mine. The detonation damaged a wheel. A 32-year-old patrol policeman was injured, but his life is not in danger. Also in Bilozerka, a police car hit an anti-personnel landmine. This time, no one was injured.
